Instead, ARCANUM builds value into solutions by managing vendor relationships and facilitating technology procurement without becoming conflicted by self-serving interests tied to reseller mark-ups. Therefore, ARCANUM prefers to be considered a “Technology Source”, where we pass cost savings through to our clients on the purchase of vendor products or facilitate the direct acquisition of vendor products on our clients’ behalf.

Strategy vs. Tactics

ARCANUM separates itself from vendors or product-driven “consultants” who force pre-existing solutions onto their customers. A true consultant is a vendor and product neutral, and is therefore able build solutions around the needs of the client. The common approach of “finding customers to fit a solution” fails to deliver value by focusing only at the tactical level of specific needs, while failing to recognize the strategic context within which those needs exist. This is the root-cause to many unsuccessful implementations. Instead, ARCANUM makes sure both tactical and strategic realities are thoroughly defined as pre-requisites to any solution. We also make the effort to monitor the client’s organization and marketplace for tactical and strategic changes throughout every engagement to ensure our collective success.

Sponsor Approach

ARCANUM is successful in delivery of solutions only through a Sponsorship relationship. Strategic visibility occurs at the executive level, and allows for accountability to ROI and ROE. Clients who embrace Technology with an executive “Champion” are able to leverage their technology investment into organizational efficiency and competitive advantage. ARCANUM is able to “coach” client executive leadership through a process of I.T. strategic thinking in order to maximize and empower their own “Champion” role.

Extended Partnering

Functioning as a Consultant at the Strategic level, ARCANUM is able to become a Partner with our Clients and extend value through to their Clients. From adding Technology capabilities to our Client’s SOQ to fulfilling technology-based requirements established by an Owner, ARCANUM is poised to provide our capabilities transparently throughout our client’s organization and projects to the cumulative benefit of our clients and their clients. This changes the nature of our relationship with our clients from a Vendor or Service Provider to a Team Member and Sub-Consultant.
